Peter brings 18 years of brand and design expertise to our mix. He has an extensive background in developing brands for the consumer retail market and has played an integral part in successfully creating seamless brand messages and experiences for a wide variety of clients. Using all types of creative strategies such as graphic design, interior and industrial design, copywriting, and architecture, he has provided direction and brand strategy to many well known retail brands. Prior to forming Story Trading, Peter's experience included brand work for Tommy Bahama, AmazonFresh.com, Scene it?, Cranium, Haggar, Swiss Army / Victorinox, Unionbay and more.
Some examples of prior work include:
- Peter worked closely with Amazon.com to launch its first retail brand outside the virtual environment. AmazonFresh, a grocery brand aimed at replacing the traditional grocery store model with 3 delivery and pick-up options, and a huge, virtual store on the internet, designed to surpass the freshness and quality currently in the market.
- Worked with the founders of Cranium to create a new benchmark in the boardgame industry. Managed the conceptual process, in-house art direction, hiring of illustrator Gary Baseman, and oversaw Cranium's first production run.
- Scripted consumer and trade advertising campaigns for Swiss Army/Victorinox apparel division.
- Peter partnered with the founders of Blue C Sushi (a successful restaurant chain in the Pacific Northwestern US), to create this brand from the ground up. Peter used his extensive research of the Japanese market and popular Japanese culture, conceptualized the brand image the restaurant would have, and most importantly, worked with the owners to effectively communicate that image to the public.
